Proposed amendment to the By-laws of Proposed amendment
to the By-laws of the
Cambridge Seniors Woodworking Club

At the June 9th Board of Directors meeting the Directors considered the Club’s collection of money from Club Members for items beyond Club membership and storage fees, (i.e. SawStop cartridges, blade replacements). They determined it would be  prudent to modify our by-laws to ensure that the Club has the same ability to collect those charges, and any similar charges that may be set in the future,  as it has for Membership and storage.

The amendment seeks to close this gap. It will be proposed that by-law Section 8, Sub section 8.04, Clause “h” noted in bold below be amended as follows:

The Board of Directors may discipline or terminate the Membership of a Member who:

h) is more than 30 days in arrears with respect to their Membership Dues, Storage Fees, or other monies that the Club may invoice from time to time; or

A copy of the By-Laws are available in each shop if a member wishes to review Section 8, sub section 8.04 in its’ entirety.
